ARE YOU – ELD – COMPLIANT?

As part of the ELD rule, by December 2017, all qualified drivers must log records of duty status (RODS) electronically. The electronic records must replace all existing paper logbooks used to record compliance with Hours of Service (HOS). By using ln-CabinPlus, you’re already way ahead of deadline.

Who needs to be ELD compliant?

Drivers who currently maintain paper RODS for 8 days or more during any 30 day period have to have an ELD.

The rule allows limited exceptions to the ELD mandate.

Exemptions:

  1. Driveaway-towaway operations are not required to use an
ELD, provided the vehicle driven is part of the shipment; and
  2. ELDs are not required on CMVs older than model year 2000.
  3. Drivers who use paper RODS for not more than 8 days during
    any 30 day period.

What Benefits Come with using ELD’s?
